National Organic Certification Cost Share Program (NOCCSP)
$13 million from the 2014 Farm Bill is now available for NOCCSP! To receive cost share assistance, organic producers and handlers must contact their State agencies for guidelines and requirements for reimbursement.

2501 (Outreach and Assistance for Socially Disadvantaged Farmers and Ranchers)
$9.1 million in grant funding is now available through 2501 to support outreach and technical assistance for underserved farmers – including minority, tribal, and veteran producers! The application period is only open for 30 days – so it’s time to act fast if you plan to apply.

School Lunch Pilot Program
USDA also released its RFA for a pilot project authorized in the 2014 Farm Bill that will allow up to 8 states to use a portion of their USDA Foods dollars to purchase locally-grown unprocessed fruits and vegetables for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). States have until the end of September to apply.
