Strengthening Detroit Voices – Town Hall Meeting December 5 7PM – Fair Food Network

Please join the Fair Food Network as we engage in the first Strengthening Detroit Voices Town Hall Meeting. The Fair Food Network in partnership with the United Way of Southeastern Michigan will be hosting this innovative method for Detroiters voices to be heard on local, state and national policy issues that affect how they can grow a healthy, sustainable food system for its citizens.

The Town Hall meeting format is an exciting communications tool which combines traditional communication methods with contemporary techniques that reflect the multifaceted nature of the current communications environment in order to reach as many Detroiters as possible. In this highly interactive and web‐based format we will have experts in the food industry answer questions in real time on how the current food system affects families and what you can do to be a part of a national movement to seek change.

We are excited to announce that our own, Vickie Thomas, WWJ City Beat Reporter will serve as our moderator and Dr. Oran Hesterman, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Fair Food Network, Dwayne Wells, President/CEO, Gleaners Food Bank, and Eric Davis, United Way, will serve as our expert panelists.
